Sue Worsfold
This website is new so please excuse the limited amount of information, I will expand on it soon!
I've been carrying out ecology and protected species surveys since 2009, during and since my Environmental Science degree at Glyndwr University in Wrexham.
Before that I completed an HND in Applied Biology in Cardiff. I spent sixteen years in Leeds as a microbiologist then quality co-ordinator at a soft drinks factory before returning home to St. Martins, near Oswestry, where I live now.
I was very lucky to be able to gain experience helping my dad with his surveys while doing my degree and now it is a full time job, certainly the best one I've ever had!
I'm a licensed bat and great crested newt worker in England and Wales, registration number CLS0895 2015-12555-CLS-CLS (CL15 Bat Roost Visitor Level 1) and registration number CLS 0895 2015-12556-CLS-CLS (CL18 Bat Survey Level 2 ) (Natural England) and 72725:OTH:CSAB:2016 (Natural Resources Wales);
Great crested newt survey licence registration number 2015-8194-CLS-CLS (NE) and 72936-OTH-SA:2016 (NRW)
I'm an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
I'm also secretary for the Shropshire Bat Group and a voluntary bat roost visitor for the bat helpline run by the Bat Conservation Trust.
